The second annual GSA Pumpkin Carving Contest was held on October 31/12 in Jubilee Court. Despite the cool, wet weather, there were some amazing creations. The hot cider helped to keep the contestants warm. The celebrity judges from the Brock daycare did a great job!
GSA has been successful in arranging various sports events throughout the year. All events aim to provide graduate students an opportunity to relax and have some fun sports time to get away from all the studies!
More than 90 graduate students gave oral and poster research presentations on April 11, 2012 at the day-long Mapping the New Knowledges Graduate Research Conference held in the Plaza. The GSA organized a great Mental Health workshop for grad students called "Your Mind: Maintenance and Repair".

The GSA held their Annual General Meeting, Spring Social and GSA Awards night on April 11, 2012 following the research conference. The new GSA Executive for 2012-2013 were introduced and the awards were presented to winners of the GSA Bursary and Conference Funding Assistance Awards. A good time was enjoyed by all!
On Saturday, January 21/12, the GSA hosted a Coffee Connections lunch for the MA of Applied Disability Studies students on the Hamilton campus.
The GSA held their Welcome BBQ for the 2012-13 year in Isaac's Bar & Grill on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. A great opportunity to meet other Grad students in the Brock community.
