Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (TESL)
“The MA in Applied Linguistics (TESL) at Brock is an amazing program. The professors are experts in their field and dedicated to their students. Never before have I worked so hard or learned so much.”
-- Sonia Martin (MA 2006)
Brock’s MA program in Teaching English as a Subsequent Language (TESL) has a dynamic and hands-on approach. It incorporates applied linguistics, language-teaching methodologies, and curriculum design and testing.
The integration of these learning elements provides students with a high level of expertise and professionalism that is in demand across Canada and abroad.
Students benefit from the extensive teaching experience and linguistic proficiency of the program’s faculty who are recognized internationally as published scholars and researchers.
There are two program options for the TESL master’s at Brock: the 12-month Direct-Entry Program for native – or near-native – anglophones and the 15-month Bridged-Entry Program for non-native anglophones.
