Am I limited in the number of first-year courses I can use toward my teachable subject in regards to the Pre-Service Teacher Education program?
Yes. Introductory language courses that require less than advanced secondary school study for admission will not be considered. Examples of Brock courses not considered acceptable would be FRENCH 1P01, 1P02, or 1P03.
It is important to keep in mind that you will be expected to apply your subject knowledge in the classroom. It is strongly recommended that you have a sufficient number of upper year courses that will provide you with the necessary background to teach your subject matter.
