1996 Graduate Employment Rates
To determine employment rates of recent graduates, Ontario universities conducted a survey of all 1996 graduates of undergraduate degree programs. Graduates were asked 12 questions regarding their employment situation 6 months and two years after graduation. Between December 29, 1998 and January 12 1999, a total of 52,175 surveys were mailed out. Follow-up phone calls were later conducted by institutions between mid-March and April 4, 1999. An overall response rate of 54% was achieved. This Table indicates the employment rates for 1996 graduates of Brock University's and all universities undergraduate programs, by program category, 6 months and two years after graduation.

The employment rate is defined as the number of employed persons expressed as a percentage of the labour force where the labour force is those persons who were employed, or unemployed but looking for work.
