Swamp Rose Mallow (Hibiscus palustris)
This tall, 3-8' (90-240cm) coarse plant has large and showy, pink, 5-lobed, musky-smelling
flowers which are 4-7" (10-17.5cm) wide. The leaves are 4" (10cm) long; yellow-green, ovate,
toothed, pointed; white down beneath. This plant can be found in areas of tidal marshes and
inland freshwater marshes.
