Swamp Milkweed (Asclepoas incarnata)

This species has deep pin flowers clustered at the top of a tall, branching stem and is 1-4' (30- 120cm) in height. The flowers are 1/4" (6mm) broad, rose-purple, with 5 recurved petals and elevated central crown divided into 5 parts. The leaves are up o 4" (10cm) oblong- lancelot and opposite. It is usually found in habitats such as swamps, shores, and thickets.
