Kamini Jaipal-Jamani is an associate professor of science education in the Department of Teacher Education. Prior to joining Brock University, she spent two years as Assistant Professor at University of Prince Edward Island. She obtained her MEd at UWO and her PhD at UBC and is an experienced science educator with secondary school science teaching experience. Her research and writing focuses on science teaching and learning, technology integration, and teacher professional development. She has collaborated with the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (ETFO) to support elementary teachers conduct action research for professional development. Other professional activities include acting as president and chair of the Technology and Teacher Education (TATE) SIG at CSSE and serving as a program committee member of the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE). She also served on the journal editorial boards for the African Journal of Research in Mathematics, Science and Technology Education (2007 to 2009) and the Brock Journal (2008 to the present), and is a journal reviewer for Science Education, International Journal of Science Education and Language and Education.
