Recreation on Campus

Gymnasiums
Groups can reserve gymnasiums like the Bob Davis gym for recreation during their conference. Equipment for sports can be made available to your group from the central equipment room. The Ian Beddis Gymnasium has up to 6 courts that can be divided up into private spaces.

The Zone Fitness Centre
Guests can purchase a day pass to enjoy "The Zone" fitness centre. With many cardio machines and weight machines, it is a great way to relax after a long day. Fitness and spin classes are available daily. Individual guests can purchase these services at the Walker Complex Welcome Desk.

Sports Fields
Looking for youth or children to run off some energy? Looking for some team-building space? There are three soccer and rugby fields on campus and other baseball diamonds available for group bookings.

Swimming
The Eleanor Misener Aquatic Centre has public swim times as well as private bookings available. Individual guests can purchase a swim pass at the Walker Complex Welcome Desk. The capacity of the pool is 500 guests to ensure the safety of our guests. The 50-metre pool can be customized for individual or a groups' needs. It is equipped with a hydraulic floor which raises and lowers to the depth in the shallow end from zero to 1.22 meters. This is an added advantage for pre-schoolers who wish to use shallower waters. Deep water is available with diving boards and Tarzan rope. Highly certified and experienced lifeguards are on duty. Inquire about policies for supervision of younger children. A family change room and men's and women's showers are adjacent to the pool.

Hiking Trails on Campus
The Bruce Trail systems as well as a wide variety of other hiking and mountain biking trails are on campus. Find Alphie's Trough and walk down the escarptment. The densely forested area is a great idea to integrate with youth groups visiting the campus and needing to provide budget-friendly activities.
