What is Applied Research?
Research with the intended purpose of immediate and direct application or action within a community
What is Unidisciplinary Research?
Research that is based solely on one discipline (e.g. psychology)
What is Multidisciplinary Research?
Research that examines multiple subjects from different disciplines but only uses the methods of one discipline in its examination
What is Interdisciplinary Research?
Research that draws from two or more academic disciplines, integrating their insights to work together in pursuit of a common goal
