Calibrate your lab – Juice analysis
Wineries from the Niagara Peninsula, Prince Edward County and Lake Erie North Shore have the opportunity to assess the accuracy of their equipment through the Calibrate workshop developed by the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute’s (CCOVI) Outreach Committee. Participating wineries can compare their results to those from the CCOVI lab in order to calibrate their equipment in time for the fall harvest.
Details: Participants will be provided with two sterile filtered samples to analyze pH, Titratable Acidity, Brix and Volatile Acidity. You will receive a set of Instructions and a Results Reporting Form to be sent back to CCOVI. Your results will be shown compared to that of the CCOVI Analytical Lab to indicate your level of accuracy.
