Interview Preparation

Now that you are at university and well on your way to reaching your career goals, you have one last hurdle to get through: the interview. Whether it’s a part-time job to earn money for tuition, a full-time position after graduation or applying to graduate school, you will likely be invited in for an interview to discuss your skills and qualifications.

Many people find the interview process to be a stressful experience, but it doesn't need to be. Think of it this way: you've spent years working hard. Now is your chance to demonstrate how your hard work has paid off.

There is a quote by T. Alan Armstrong that reads:
“Champions do not become champions when they win the event, but in the hours, weeks, months and years they spend preparing for it. The victorious performance itself is merely the demonstration of their championship character.”
Muhammad Ali expressed a similar sentiment:
“The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses – behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.”
The message is a simple one. Preparation is the key to being successful. This also applies to interviews. So no matter what type of interview you will be facing, we have resources available to help you be successful.
