On Campus Jobs
Finding part time work on campus is a great way for you to get experience, develop skills for future careers, and of course, make money while studying at Brock. There are many job opportunities available for students on campus and there are several ways to go about finding those jobs.
Having some direction in your job search will be helpful. Start by identifying the type of work you would like to do and where you would like to work. Consider focusing on a specific department, faculty or service that may be of interest to you or related to your area of study.
Job postings may be found on the following sites:
- Career Services job posting board on CareerZone
- Brock University Students’ Union (B.U.S.U.) website
- Human Resources website
- Faculty websites and department websites
- Brock Dining Services
- Recreation Services
- Student Life and Community Engagement
However, not all jobs are posted! Tap into the hidden job market. Tell people you are looking for on-campus work. If you are looking for a job in a specific department, speak with the administrative assistant in the department to find out about current or future opportunities. If you are looking for academic-based work opportunities, speak with your professors.

Before you apply, get prepared. Do you have an up to date resume? Are you ready for a job interview?
To help you prepare for finding on-campus work, drop by the Career Resource Centre in the Learning Commons and speak with a career assistant. Remember to network with friends, professors, TA's and university staff, and let them know you are looking for an on-campus job.
