Life in 2030: Discuss the future with those who are creating it
A look into the research crystal ball...
In the Ontario vineyard of 2030, we’ll sip wines that were once the domain of far-away, exotic locations. Big business will set environmental and social policies. And consumers will choose how their energy is generated.
Brock University - in collaboration with Western and Windsor Universities - is hosting a panel of researchers from across Ontario who will be discussing future trends in their research areas. Speakers include:
• Debbie Inglis, Brock University, "Climate change will move Ontario wineries toward great new styles and flavours of wine”
• Tima Bansal, Western University, “The lines between business, society, and government will blur”
• Rupp Carriveau, Windsor University, “Consumers will choose how their energy is generated”
John Storm, host of Cogeco’s Taking Niagara by Storm, will moderate the discussion.
This event is part of a wider campaign – called “Research Matters” – to raise the profile of research in society. Brock University is one of five universities across Ontario selected to host this public series.
