Interim Dean and Associate Professor of Finance
Dr. Don Cyr is the Interim Dean of the Goodman School of Business responsible for leading the Business School and overseeing operations. Dr. Cyr is also an Associate professor of Finance at Goodman where he teaches courses in corporate finance, international finance and investments. Dr. Cyr carries out research in all of these areas and has consulted and provided specialized training for a number of organizations. He holds an MBA, a Masters degree in Economics and a PhD in Finance. He is the recipient of a number of teaching awards and has authored several professional training programs for the investment industry.
Associate Dean of Research & Graduate Programs and Professor
As Associate Dean Dr. Danny Cho is responsible for Research and Graduate Programs. Dr. Cho is also a Professor of Information Systems and Operations Management at the Goodman School of Business. He holds a B.A.Sc. and a M.Eng. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from McMaster University with concentrations on Management Science and Information Systems. In addition to his academic credentials, Dr. Cho is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), certified and recognized by the Association for Operations Management (APICS). Dr. Cho teaches courses on quantitative methods, supply chain management, e-business modeling, and information systems at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Associate Dean Undergraduate Programs and AACSB and Associate Professor
Dr. Deborah McPhee is responsible for undergraduate programs and AACSB accreditation. Dr. McPhee is also an Associate Professor of Human Resources Management at the Goodman School of Business. Dr. McPhee holds a Bachelor of Administrative Studies (B.A.S.) from York University, an MBA from Schulich School of Business, York University, and a Ph.D. in Human Resources Management and Industrial Relations from McMaster University. She also holds a professional designation as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP). Before pursuing an academic career, Professor McPhee worked for a number of years in industry as a senior Human Resources Professional. Previous employers have been Falconbridge Nickel Mines, NEC Canada Inc. and Nissan Canada Inc. Dr. McPhee previously sat on several committees at HRPA including Professional Standards and Education Standards, and at MINERVA Canada, focused on encouraging educational institutions to teach Health and Safety in the classroom at post-secondary levels. She is also the faculty representative on Brock's HR Student Committee. In 2010, Dr. McPhee was honoured with the Right Management HR Academic of Year Award at the Annual HR Summit Awards. The award is sponsored by HRPA and Canadian HR Reporter.
