The snowy season is upon us… what you need to know

Last week’s early blast of cold and snow is a reminder that it’s time to be ready for winter conditions. No heavy snowfall is forecast for St. Catharines this week. However, the Brock community should nonetheless get into the habit of checking the University’s website (www.brocku.ca) and social media channels for updates about the University’s operating status.

Today’s annual emergency training exercise at Brock University is now completed. The exercise was used to test Brock’s Emergency Management Team on aspects of emergency management and response as mandated by its Emergency Management Plan. For the exercise, Brock teamed up with Niagara Regional Police Services (NRPS).

On Friday, June 21, 2013, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., an annual emergency training exercise will be taking place at the Brock University’s main campus. The exercise will test the responses of Brock’s Emergency Response Team, Crisis Management Group, Emergency Notification System and local law enforcement.
