On Feb. 23, the Confucius Institute at Brock teamed up with the Niagara Centre for Arts in Niagara Falls to co-organize a cultural event to mark the end of this year’s Spring Festival.
Xiang embroidery, one of the four great embroideries in China, is world famous for its exquisite techniques, unique features and long history. And samples of it are coming to Brock next week in an exhibit called From Qing to Republic: Chinese Embroidery from 1644 to 1949.

The newly minted graduate of Brock’s linguistics program will be China-bound on July 15 to be an observer at the annual Chinese Bridge, an international competition of language and cultural proficiency for university students who have learned Chinese as a second language.
