Brock community asked for input on search for new Chancellor

Ned Goodman is due to complete his term as Chancellor of Brock University after Fall Convocation 2014. The Advisory Committee on the Appointment of the Chancellor has been established to conduct a search for his successor. Susan Sydor, Associate Dean and assistant professor in the Faculty of Education, is Chair of the committee.

Recreation Services Try-a-Tri race this Thursday, June 26

Recreation Services is once again hosting Brock’s annual Try-a-Tri triathlon race on Thursday June 26 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The annual campus event includes a 100m or 400m swim, a 12.4 km bike ride, and a 3km run, walk or crawl. Members of the Brock community can enter the race as an individual or as a team of three, with one person for each leg of the event.

2014 Spring Convocation at Brock this week

Close to 3,700 students will graduate this week at Brock’s 2014 Spring Convocation, which takes place over nine ceremonies from Tuesday, June 3, to Saturday, June 7. All ceremonies will be held in the Walker Complex in the Ian D. Beddis gymnasium. An outdoor reception for graduates, family members and guests will be held after each ceremony. Tickets are not required. All guests are welcome.

Brock mourns the loss of a student

Brock University is saddened by the loss of Qandeel Shaikh, a third year Bachelor of Business Administration Co-op (Honours) student who passed away March 10, 2014. The Brock community extends its condolences to Shaikh’s family and friends.
