The Brock News welcomes contributions from the Brock community in the form of news, photos, story ideas and classified ads.
Written material should be sent electronically to email@example.com and may be edited for length or style. Photographs should be electronic files of at least 410 pixels wide. We reserve the right to edit material for style purposes.
Faculty and staff
The Brock News is a forum for you to share your professional achievements with your peers. Faculty and staff are encouraged to send their conference appearances, publications and other notices to firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information on when they will appear, see the updating schedule.
Classifieds may be submitted to email@example.com and are currently free of charge for Brock employees. You may also submit a photo to run with the ad.

The Brock News has a monthly video profile of a staff or faculty member. To suggest an interviewee, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
The site is also happy to feature employees who are retiring after many years at the university. Please send information about the employee’s service to Brock, and a photo if possible, to email@example.com

The Brock News welcomes thoughtful, respectful reader comments on our articles, and adheres to the University’s Statement on Respectful Dialogue and Freedom of Expression that “freedom of thought, association and expression are critical components of a democratic and civil society”.
Comments are reviewed by University Communications staff prior to publication, subject to the following guidelines:
• Remain on topic and use civil language. Comments cannot demean, denigrate or disparage people, groups, organizations or activities.
• Potentially libelous or slanderous comments will not be published.
• While the Brock News uses the University’s Statement on Respectful Dialogue and Freedom of Expression as a guideline, which allows for discussion that is critical of the University, comments that have adverse effects on the Brock University’s image, reputation or any official processes carried out by the University will not be allowed.
• No “spam” or commercial messages will be published.
To protect the ability of people to comment on all topics without fear of reprisal, people can request to have comments published anonymously. However all writers must include a valid email address where they can be contacted if necessary by Brock News staff. The public cannot see this email address.
