Brock partners in new arts project

Brock is involved in a new project that will see a website, increased marketing and school programs to raise the profile of the arts in Niagara.

Marketing the Arts of St. Catharines was launched last week by the Centre for the Arts, Carousel Players and the City of St. Catharines. It is funded by the federal government through the Department of Canadian Heritage’s Canada Cultural Investment Fund.

The project is made up of three specific activities:

  1. CultureinNiagara.com – a project led by the City of St. Catharines. This site will promote cultural events, venues and organizations.
  2. Developing our Marketing Expertise – led by the Centre for the Arts. This is a series of workshops and roundtables in 2011 and 2012 to help Niagara arts companies maximize advertising and find new audiences. It will culminate in a two-day summit in September 2012.
  3. Inspire! Niagara Arts in Niagara Schools – led by Carousel Players. This will involve a 10 to 15-minute DVD to be distributed to Niagara’s elementary and high schools.
