Representatives from 20 countries in the Caribbean and Latin America know more about Brock after a visit hosted by Brock International last week.

More than 30 senior representatives visited Oct. 19 to strengthen and develop partnerships. The delegation, formally called the “Emerging Leaders in the Americas Collaboration Mission,” was led by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada and the Canadian Bureau for International Education.

The group spent a few hours with Brock faculty and staff learning about each other and possibilities for collaboration. Brock has already established institutional partnerships with Universidad Pedagogica de El Salvador and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, both of whom were represented.

Brock has already welcomed 10 Emerging Leaders in the Americas (ELAP) scholarship students from Colombia, Mexico and The Bahamas since 2008. More will arrive next year.
