An associate professor in the Department of Classics has been named a new Associate Dean in the Faculty of Humanities.

Effective July 1, Carol U. Merriam is the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research. Merriam, a well-published specialist in Latin poetry and a former chair of the Department of Classics, has also served as president of the Brock University Faculty Association.

She replaces Jane Koustas, who completed a three-year term as Associate Dean on June 30.
