Kari-Lynn Winters’ children’s book On My Walk has been nominated for another British Columbia book award.

The story about a mother and toddler walking through Vancouver, written by the assistant professor of Education, has been shortlisted for a Chocolate Lily Award. The national award is designed to encourage children to read. The award is named after the chocolate lily, a flower unique to British Columbia.

Earlier this year, On My Walk was nominated for a prestigious B.C. Book Prize.

This is Winters’ sixth book for young children.
