Brock, OSSTF reach tentative deal

Brock University and the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation, District 35, reached a tentative deal for a new collective agreement on Sunday evening, hours before a midnight strike deadline.

OSSTF District 35 represents about 200 administrative support staff at Brock.

The tentative deal was announced by both parties, and averts a possible labour disruption at Brock that was anticipated for Monday morning

The agreement reached by the two negotiating teams must be ratified by both parties before it takes effect. OSSTF District 35 members are expected to vote on the deal this week, as is the University’s Board of Trustees.

Brock and OSSTF have been negotiating since February. The previous agreement expired on April 30.
