Apply now for adult education degree and certificate programs

Brock’s Centre for Adult Education and Community Outreach (CAECO) is accepting applications for its fall and winter academic sessions in the Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Adult Education degree and certificate programs.

The fall session will begin in September. Applications will be accepted until July 15. The winter session will begin in January and applications will be accepted until Nov. 15.

Over the next few months, the Centre will hold information sessions throughout Ontario for prospective students to learn more about the programs. The dates and times for sessions are posted on the Centre’s website.

Each year, the degree and certificate programs attract hundreds of aspiring and experienced adult educators who have the choice of studying online or as part of a classroom experience at more than 20 locations across Ontario. The program is unique to Ontario, feeding the demand for highly skilled professionals to teach and train adults in broad settings from formal post-secondary to business and industry and health care and social services.

Brock’s Faculty of Education began the adult education programs in 1993 with a focus on key areas such as curriculum design, delivery methods and working effectively with adult learners. The programs also enhance the educational and professional development of adult educators with courses in leadership in learning environments, research skills and global contexts of adult education.
