Join a group of interested technology enthusiasts as they build, deconstruct, mash-up, and re-envision information from the web.

Set in an informal environment, attendees at Brock Library Hackfest V.2 will be free to mix, mingle, discuss ideas, and to begin working on prototypes or drafting solutions.

The event is set for Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in TH 269 C, Centre for Digital Humanities.

New this time is a “Getting Started with Arduino” workshop from 10 a.m.-noon.

Never been to a Hackfest before? No problem. The only requirement is your curiosity and a laptop.

The Brock Library and the Centre for Digital Humanities will provide the coffee, breakfast, Wi-Fi, and whiteboard space.

There will also be a collection of electronics to use in your collaborations (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.).

The event is open to anyone interested in attending. Admission is free.

At the end of the day there will be an opportunity to briefly present what you’ve hacked.

The most interesting presentation wins a prize.
