Friday is Red Day as Brock faculty, staff and students are being encouraged to show their Badger pride and wear red to support the men’s and women’s basketball teams.

Several giveaways and special events are planned before and during Friday’s home openers, which are expected to sell out, but it’s those in attendance who will be the biggest winners.

Some of the highlights include:
• Licensed area overlooking the gym (capacity 200)
• Half-court shot to win $1,000
• Toronto Raptors tickets, Toronto Maple Leafs tickets, and other great swag
• First 150 fans to arrive wearing red receive an Isaac’s Army bandana
• Recognition of current Brock championship teams: women’s wrestling, men’s wrestling, baseball, men’s rowing
• Laura Secord drum line and DJ throughout the games

Women’s tipoff is 6 p.m. and the men play at 8 p.m. at the Bob Davis Gymnasium. Both teams will face Algoma.

A limited number of student tickets are still available at no cost as per the Student Life fee referendum, while Alumni Relations has limited free tickets remaining for Brock graduates (email crichard2@brocku.ca for details). Adult tickets are $10, and tickets for seniors and non-Brock students are $5.

About 250 $10 packages, which included game admission, a Protect the Den T-shirt, hamburger, soft drink, Thunderstix or foam finger, sold out by Tuesday afternoon.

Food will be served at Isaac’s pre-game party from 4 p.m.-7 p.m.

Individual tickets are available and can be purchased and picked up in advance through the Recreation Services desk in the Walker Complex.
