Winter coat giveaway Oct. 24 for international students in need

The Ecumenical Chaplaincy at Brock, along with the Student Justice Centre and the International Students Association, are looking for winter coasts to be donated to students in need.

The annual winter coat giveaway is Friday, Oct. 24 from 1-4 p.m. in Captain John’s Lounge, DeCew.

Gently used winter coats will be accepted and can be dropped off at the Student Justice Centre (TH 252A) by the end of day Thursday, Oct. 23.

There are usually around 50 coats donated each year from Brock faculty, staff and students and the St. Catharines community.

“It’s a significant and important event, especially for international students who experience their first winter in Canada,” said David Galston, Brock University Ecumenical Chaplain.
