Severe thunderstorm alert for Niagara (June 17)

Brock officials are keeping a close eye on a severe thunderstorm watch for all of Niagara today.

According to Environment Canada, conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, damaging hail and heavy rain. There is also a risk of a tornado.

The threat of severe thunderstorms exists until this evening.

Brock officials will continue to monitor the weather and make any information relevant to this storm available to the Brock community.

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
