Angus Smith, associate professor, Classics, was quoted in the article “Mycenaean tombs discovered might be evidence of classless society” in the U.K.’s The Independent on March 29. In the article, he discusses the unearthing of five chamber tombs at Ayia Sotira, a cemetery in the Nemea Valley in Greece. Smith is involved in the project, which unearthed five chamber tombs at Ayia Sotira, a cemetery in the Nemea Valley in Greece. The tombs date from 1350 – 1200 BC.
