In July, the advisory committee on the search for Brock’s next Provost and Vice-President, Academic initiated an internal search in recognition of our pool of talented academic leaders.

This decision resulted in a strong field of candidates coming forward, and the process is now set to enter the community consultation phase.

On behalf of the advisory committee, President Jack Lightstone has announced that two internal candidates have been invited to address the campus community and respond to questions regarding their candidacy for the position of Provost.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to hear the following candidates make their presentations in the Pond Inlet.

Anna H. Lathrop, Ed.D, professor and Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning, will present on Monday, Sept. 30 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Neil McCartney, PhD, professor and Dean, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, will present on Monday, Sept. 30 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

To view the CV of both candidates, log into my.brocku.ca.

Following the presentations, feedback regarding each candidate may be submitted in confidence to the advisory committee through Darren Harper, Associate Vice-President, Human Resources, at dharper@brocku.ca.

To be considered by the advisory committee, submissions must be received by noon on Thursday, Oct. 3. Anonymous submissions will not be accepted.
