They’re younger than your average university student. But just like some of their older counterparts, they’re spending their summer learning at Brock.

Youth University, Brock’s day camp program for school children in grades 4 through 8, has begun again, offering more than 50 themes from all faculties.

More than 600 campers will learn about ancient civilizations, develop their artistic style, produce video games and solve technical challenges. They’ll be mentored by Brock students and gain a sense of university life through Brock’s unique resources, including science labs, computer classrooms and Niagara’s natural environment.

“For elementary students, deciding what life will look like after high school is a big challenge,” said Devin Kellaway, enrichment program manager for Youth University. “Choosing a job or educational pathway involves many factors. For kids at Youth University, that process starts with finding something new or interesting and being excited to experience, learn and discover more about it.”

Youth University runs until Aug. 30. Programming runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. For more information, visit Youth University online.
