You know the perfect candidate for an honorary degree. Now is your chance to the let the University in on your idea.

Nominations for honorary degrees are still being accepted for 2013 convocation.

Brock grants an honorary degrees to people the University recognizes as having an established record of distinguished achievement and remarkable service, who support the values of advanced learning and the pursuit of knowledge, and whose acceptance of the honour would bring acclaim to Brock.

Any member of the University community or the public can submit nominations throughout the year. However, to ensure they are considered for the June 2013 convocation, nominations should be submitted to the Office of the University Secretariat by Jan. 4, 2013.

Forms and guidelines are available online or by contacting the Office of the University Secretariat at ext. 3334 or 4307.

All nominations are reviewed in confidence by the Senate Governance Committee, which forwards its recommendations to Senate for consideration.

Due to confidentiality, Senate doesn’t report on its deliberations but individuals nominated will remain eligible for reconsideration by the Governance Committee for up to three years.

A nominator may resubmit a name with additional documentation at any time.
