Those in need of a flu shot or finding other ways to get and stay healthy are in luck.

Student Health Services is hosting its annual health fair on Monday, covering topics such as physical, mental, social, spiritual, financial and environmental health.

The health fair is an educational event meant to help participants evaluate their own health, encourage a healthy lifestyle and provide information to make that possible. There will be about 100 interactive displays with health care professionals and representatives from local health organizations on hand to answer questions.

In addition to information on the different types of health, infection control, personal safety, physical activity, nutrition, substance abuse and relaxation will also be featured.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ian D. Beddis gym.

A flu clinic will also be operating for faculty, staff, students and local residents to give their immune systems a boost during the upcoming flu season.

Flu shot appointments can be made online through health services or by showing up to the clinic and being treated on a first come, first served basis. Vaccinations will be administered between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the Ian D. Beddis gym.

Flu shot recipients are asked to bring their health card and driver’s licence and wear a short-sleeved shirt.
