Reporting to the President of the Brock University Faculty Association (BUFA), the Office Co-ordinator is responsible for the co-ordination of the efficient and effective functioning of the BUFA office. Highly organized with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with all contacts, the Office Co-ordinator will implement and maintain policy and procedures for controlling the circulation and storage of documents and files; assist BUFA Officers with communication materials, committee staffing, travel arrangements, and research; and have responsibility for the care and maintenance of all office equipment. In addition, the Office Co-ordinator will assess and appropriately manage inquiries to the BUFA Office. Sound judgment, tact, and discretion are required. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability in a related administrative support capacity, preferably in a University or similar environment. Excellent organizational, problem solving, communication, and record-keeping abilities are needed. Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet searches, and website maintenance are also required. A relevant community college or university degree is preferred.
