Greene gives endowed lecture in New York

Elizabeth Greene is giving a talk this month as part of an endowed series of lectures in Staten Island, NY.

The associate professor of Classics will give the J. Richard Steffy Lecture in Underwater Archaeology for the Staten Island Society of the Archaeological Institute of America on Feb, 19.

Greene has also given a number of talks for academic and mainstream audiences lately, including:

  • “The Sixth-Century BCE Shipwreck at Pabuç Burnu, Turkey,” St Catharines Public Library, St Catharines, Feb. 7, 2012.
  • “Law, Ethics, and Deep-Water Archaeology: The Wreck of Cesnola’s Napried,” College Station Society of the Archaeological Institute of America, College Station, Texas, Feb. 2, 2012.
  • “2011 Harbor Survey at Burgaz, Turkey,” Archaeological Institute of America Annual Meeting, Philadelphia, Pa., January 7, 2012 (with N. Tuna and J. Leidwanger)
