Training session teaches about Facebook, YouTube, etc.

What’s all the buzz about social media?

That question and more will be answered at a Social Media for Beginners training session on Thursday, Feb. 25.

Brock faculty and staff wanting to learn more about social media and how to use it in their work are invited to the ITS Training Room (the “fish bowl” in the Computer Commons of the Walker Complex) from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

This session will cover:

  • What social media is and how does it differ from traditional media
  • How to use social media to engage with students and stakeholders online
  • How to leverage Twitter, LinkedIn, FaceBook and YouTube to spread messages effectively

Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. To register, fill out the Faculty/staff social media training sign up form.
