Three questions with… Ahmed Ahmed

Ahmed Ahmed is a student information assistant in the Office of the Registrar. He’s on the front line, answering questions and helping students who enter the office. A St. Catharines resident, he graduated from Brock with a degree in Sport Management in 2009. His father, Abdu, also attended Brock, earning an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a masters in international relations in 2001.

What do you like about your job?
I meet tons of students from different backgrounds and I like that engagement. I also like my coworkers. It’s a family atmosphere. It’s a joy to come to work and be with people you like to be around.

What do you do for fun?
I’m a basketball addict. I play basketball as much as I can. I watch basketball as much as I can. My fiancée and I also like playing board and card games. We like to play euchre.

What’s the last good book you read?
Emergency by Neil Strauss. It was an entertaining read about what we’d do if the government collapsed, and how we’d survive. Now I’m reading the fourth book in the Game of Thrones series.
