The future of publishing is here, and Brock’s Campus Store is adjusting its services accordingly.

The store announced this month that it will sell more than 250,000 e-book titles on its website. The move is the result of a partnership between Campus E Bookstore and Google eBooks to distribute public domain and commercial e-books across Canada.

Trudy Lockyer, director of the Campus Store, said the store is delighted to offer thousands of titles online to supplement the in-store selection.

“Our customers can now buy and read a book whenever they want, however they want to, digitally,” she said. “Since launching our new website, they have asked us to make our offering more user friendly and increase selection.”

The platform allows the store to add faculty and locally authored e-books through Google’s Publisher and Author program, she said.
