Richard Mitchell, associate professor, attended the Canadian Commission for UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) annual general meeting held in Ottawa June 9 and 10 on behalf of the Brock Environmental Sustainability Research Unit.

In the same role, he attended the annual general meeting for the Canadian Biosphere Reserves Association the following week. The meeting was at the Long Point Biosphere Reserve community of Port Rowan, Ont. on June 15 and 16.
