Drive Home program for studying students

Students staying on campus late for exam cram sessions can catch a shuttle home starting Friday.

The Brock University Students’ Union is running the popular Drive Home program – which started in 2011 – during the December exam schedule.

“It’s for late-night studying on campus,” said Chris Green, manager of Marketing and Communications for BUSU.

“We want people to be able to study on campus where it’s safe and there’s resources.”

He expects that during this exam season, the program will give its 2,000th ride. Since 2011, the program has given 1,858 rides.

Drive Home runs Dec. 11-12, 14-19 and 21-22. The program picks students up at the Schmon Tower after regular bus hours are over.

The St. Catharines loop has pickups at midnight, 1:15 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. The Thorold loop picks up at 11:30 p.m., 12:45 p.m. and 2 a.m.
