Badgers men’s and women’s basketball earn Top 10 CIS rankings

The Brock University Badgers men’s and women’s basketball teams are both ranked in the CIS Top 10 for the first time together since the 2006-07 season.

The Brock men open the 2015-16 CIS rankings in fourth spot after finishing the pre-season with 7-0 record against CIS opponents. The Badgers posted victories over Brandon (103-86), Winnipeg (81-52), Manitoba (79-75), Victoria (99-69), Concordia (74-68), Ryerson (92-83) and Windsor (94-92) in the pre-season.

The Brock women find themselves ranked No. 6 in the first 2015-16 CIS rankings of the season. The Badgers posted a 4-0 record against CIS opponents with victories over Memorial (83-53), Laurentian (50-45), Saint Mary’s (59-54) and Queen’s (68-56).

The Badgers open the 2015-16 OUA regular season in Hamilton against the nationally ranked McMaster Marauders today, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m.
