Brock participating in Take Our Kids to Work Day

Brock University will welcome students on Nov. 4 for Take Our Kids to Work Day.

Every November, thousands of Grade 9 students across Ontario spend a day at work job-shadowing a parent, relative, friend or volunteer host. The experience assists students in understanding the importance of staying in school, helps them to gain an appreciation for earning a living and shows them the links between education and their future.

Brock’s involvement in the program is a great way to highlight the diversity of roles at our University and to develop connections with future Brock students. Organized by the Health, Safety, & Wellness Department within Human Resources, students will have an opportunity to participate in a fun morning of planned programming.

In the afternoon, students will get a chance to learn what their parent or sponsor does in their position at Brock University.

The itinerary as well as the registration form is available here.
