Grand opening for downtown campus

After nearly a decade of careful planning, Brock University’s Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts (MIWSFPA) is celebrating its official unveiling Friday, September 18 at 3 p.m. The grand opening will take place at the downtown campus located at 15 Artists’ Common, just off of McGuire Street in St. Catharines.

Formerly a 19th-century textile factory, the new MIWSFPA building houses the Departments of Dramatic Arts, Music, and Visual Arts, and the Centre for Studies in Arts and Culture. In total, 50 full-time faculty members, part-time instructors and staff will join an estimated 500 students in the state-of-the-art, $45.5 million facility.
