It has been seven years in the making, but the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts has officially been branded.

Cesco Signs and Lighting was on site Thursday morning installing the exterior sign, which is backlit with energy-efficient and cost-saving LED technology. With the ‘Brock University’ lettering in place, all that remains is for the ‘Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts’ lettering to get installed.

Classes at the new downtown campus start on Sept. 8, and the official grand opening will happen on Homecoming Weekend. The ceremony will be held Friday, Sept. 18 at 3 p.m.

Anyone planning to attend is asked to RSVP to lsnihur@brocku.ca.
