Wear your red and welcome the General home

Break out your best Brock red duds and wear them on Monday for the arrival of The General that morning.

David S. Howes (LLD ’12) made a major gift in 2013 to fully underwrite the cost of a bronze sculpture of University namesake and War of 1812 hero Maj.-Gen. Sir Isaac Brock. The sculpture, by renowned Canadian artist Danek Mozdzenski, is expected to arrive on campus Monday at 11 a.m. and will be installed in front of the Schmon Tower.

All members of the Brock community are invited to welcome the General home and watch the installation. Meet at Isaac’s Pub at 10:30 a.m. for face painting, sign making, and to raise the roof in anticipation of the General’s arrival. Troops will then rally outside at University Road East at 11 a.m. to march the statue to the front of the Schmon Tower.
