Chris Barletta (percussion), Andrew Reda Gavin (bass), Tyler Merza (guitar), Kevon Strachan (saxophone), and Jenna Barnes (piano) in the 2014 edition of the Music Ed Plus jazz group. The 2015 edition will perform in front of Sankey Chamber on Thursday.

Expect to hear some sweet sounds when passing by Sankey Chamber on Thursday afternoon thanks to Music Ed Plus.

A jazz group led by music professor Zoltan Kalman will take to the hallway in Mackenzine Chown A from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. to perform the music of a variety of composers. Music Ed Plus students will also play solos in addition to the ensemble numbers.

Passersby are encouraged to take a time out and enjoy the performance on their way to their next class or meeting.

On Tuesday, April 7, Music Ed Plus chamber music ensembles will perform a more formal concert in the chapel of Concordia Lutheran Seminary. The hour-long event is free and all are welcome.

Music Ed Plus is a partnership between the Department of Music and Career Services. For more information please visit brocku.ca/music.
