Brock mourns death of former board member

Brock University is mourning the death of a former member of the University’s board of governors.

Dr. Lillian Clark served on the board from 1990-1996. The MD, who grew up in Niagara, died Sunday. She was 94.

Clark specialized in pediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and later obtained her fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Canada.

In 1944, she joined the Royal Canadian Navy and was posted to Canada’s East Coast where he met her future husband and fellow doctor, John Clark.

Throughout her career, Clark served on several local medical committees while practising pediatrics in Niagara Falls until 1993.

She was also involved with local community organizations.

A service of remembrance will happen Thursday, Aug. 29 at 2 p.m. at Drummond Hill Presbyterian Church. Condolences may be shared online.
