Brock University will host a celebration event next week to mark the start of construction on its new Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts in downtown St. Catharines.

The celebration happens Friday, May 31 at 11 a.m. at 198 St. Paul St., on the school grounds. Parking is not available on site.

When it opens, the school will bring 500 students, faculty and staff into the city’s core when it moves from Brock’s main campus. The new school will be adjacent to a new Performing Arts Centre and Spectator Facility, which are being built by the City of St. Catharines.
