Google in the classroom? iPads for education? Teachers learn more at technology conference

Teachers will learn more about technology in the classroom this week at the annual Teaching and Technology Showcase at Brock’s Hamilton campus.

Current and future teachers and school administrators will learn about topics such as Google in the classroom, the incorporation of games in learning and iPads in elementary classes. Conference details are as follows:

Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Location: 1842 King St. E., Hamilton

This is the fourth year for the event, which includes a Decision Makers’ Luncheon focused on school board administrators. During a discussion panel, school boards, the technology industry and the Faculty of Education will discuss new ways to integrate technology into education. There will also be a vendor fair with interactive displays.
