Shauna Pomerantz and Rebecca Raby presented a paper at the Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanitites (Canadian Society for Studies in Education) entitled “The New (Post) Nerd”: Smart Girls, Post-Feminism, and Popular Culture in Fredericton, NB on June 1.

Zopito Marini from Child and Youth Studies and Andrew Dane from Psychology presented their research “Emotion Regulation in Overt and Relational Forms of Reactive Aggression: Differential Relations with Temperament” in an invited symposium entitled “Emotion regulation: Bio-Psychosocial Perspectives” at the 12th European Congress of Psychology in Istanbul, Turkey on July 4 to 8.

Also at that conference:

  • Melissa Prior, a graduate student in Child and Youth Studies, presented her honour’s thesis “Developmental Trajectories in face recognition in age and Sex Effects.”
  • Ayda Tekok-Kilic, assistant professor, presented her research “Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders: An Exploration of Working Memory and Executive functioning.”

Ayda Tekok-Kilic also presented her research “Activational patterns of the Frontal-parietal networks During Oculomotor delayed Response Tasks: An Event-related Potential Study” at the 51st annual meeting of Psychophysiological Research in Boston, Mass. on Sept. 14 to 18.
